Ward Camp Out

Our Family in the Spruces

For our last family camp of the year we decided to go to our Ward Camp Out in the Spruces at Big Cottonwood Canyon. There were a lot of people from our ward who showed up so it was a great success. We left our place it was about 100 degree very hot we got to our camp site it was 85 degree. The weather during the day was very pleasant night time it was pretty chili good thing we had good sleeping bags. The thing that I liked the most there, they had flushable toilets. Yea!!! I was so happy for that!!! Also due to the high volume of people from our ward coming camping we had to overbook the camp sites. Besides that everybody had a lot of fun. In our camp site there were the Andersons, Higbees, Casanovas, Fords, The Drummers, and our family. The kids would go and play everywhere and try to find chipmunks, or other little animals. There was a small creek running through the campsite and the water was very cold. We really had a fun time with everyone. My kids loved it and when it was time to leave they really didn't want to go home.

We were welcome in our camp site by a Moose and her two little ones. They were pretty close to us. So we hurried and grabbed our camera. You gotta love nature.

Elder Todd

We are so proud of my nephew Elder Reihia Todd who made the decision to serve the Lord and to give 2 years of his life for building the kingdom of God on earth. Elder Todd is the first grand child in our side of the family so he is the first grand one to serve a mission. He's being a great example to all his siblings, cousins in the States and Tahiti, and family and friends. He is going to serve in the Louisville Kentucky Mission. He is very excited to serve the Lord and has prepared himself all his life and now is ready. We love you and wish you all the best on your mission.

His parents took him for his last dinner with his family to the Roof and he sure loved the view. He loves playing the piano.

Pineview Lake

On Saturday we went to Pineview Lake with Babe's family to celebrate my nephew's birthday. We got there pretty early so we could have a nice spot at the beach. We pretty much stayed at the beach the whole day. We got there around 9:00AM and left there at 9:00PM I know crazy huh? It was soooo much fun though. The kids just played in the water or with the sand the whole day. We had food, cold drinks, some shade, so it kept us going all day. I couldn't believe that it was so late by the time we left the lake. It was so nice to just seat, talk, relax, and enjoy the sun. Winter is getting so close that we just want to spend as much time outside as possible. Our friends Laina and her husband joined us later that afternoon. We are definitely making a family tradition that's how much we loved it. Now I am sore on my shoulders but hey it was worth it. I know I got sunburn can you believe it??LOL:)

We had a ward breakfast followed by a parade. A member from our ward is a policeman so he was in the front and all the kids with their bikes, razors, or wagons followed behind. Sunshine had a lot of fun riding her bike with all the kids in our ward.
